Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards
Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) is a scholarship scheme by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to fund Indonesian students for a one semester-mobility program at top universities and reputable industries overseas. Offering two schemes for undergraduate and vocational students, IISMA will expose Indonesian students to international academic and cultural diversity
General Requirements :
- Active students registered in the Higher Education Database (PDDIKTI) or who have not yet graduated;
- Indonesian citizens (WNI) who currently reside in Indonesia and do not have dual citizenship and are a maximum of 24 years old on the end of the program’s completion;
- Nominated by Home University’s study program through an official nomination letter signed by the Head of Study Program;
- Nominated by National Institute of Higher Education (PTDN) or National Institute of Higher Education with Vocational Programs (PTPPV) through an official nomination letter signed by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs;
- Not participating in another Independent Campus program at the same time as the IISMA program and has never participated in more than 1 (one) Independent Campus Program before registering in the IISMA program;
- Submiting an eligible English proficiency with a minimum score:
a) Undergraduate students from PTDN:
i. Achieve a minimum score of TOEFL iBT – 78, IELTS – 6.0, or Duolingo English Test – 100
ii. If the host university’s English language proficiency requirements are higher than point i.a above or only accept certain types of English language proficiency tests, then the language requirements set by the host university will be applied to applicants
b) Vocational students from PTPPV
i. Achieve a minimum score of TOEFL iBT – 60, IELTS – 6.0, Duolingo English Test – 95, or TOEIC Listening and Reading Test – 605
ii. If the host university’s English language proficiency requirements are higher than the i.b points above or it only accepts certain types of English language proficiency tests, then the language requirements set by the host university will be applied to applicants, to the respective official IISMA English language test institutional codes. - Undergraduate students who are in their 4th or 6th semester from a recognized university in Indonesia (PTDN) under the Ministry of Education and Culture; or Diploma 3 students who are currently taking their 4th semester from universities recognized with vocational programs in Indonesia (PTTPV) under the Ministry of Education and Culture;
- Not receiving any kind of living expenses/living allowance from the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) from other programs while participating in the IISMA program
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) proven by the latest transcript;
- Never violate regulations, norms and/or laws applicable in Indonesia;
- Willing to follow the rules and regulations while attending IISMA.
Document Requirements :

a) Statement letter signed on a stamp by the applicant and parents
b) A statement letter signed on a stamp by the Head of Department and Head of the International Affairs Office or other relevant position
c) Statement Letter Confirming Participation in the MBKM Flagship Program by the MBKM Management Unit / Head of the International Affairs Office of the Home University
d) Scan of the Letter of Recommendation and College Statement signed on a stamp by the Vice Chancellor - Direct upload :
a) Police Record (SKCK)
b) Certificate of Drug Free Test
c) Scan of Identity (KTP)
d) Transcripts for Semesters 1-3 for the Vocational Program and Semesters 1-5 for the Undergraduate Program
e) English Language Proficiency Test: IELTS/ TOEFL iBT/Duolingo English Language Test (or TOEIC for Vocational Students)
