There are 9 students from Kazakh Ablai Khan University, Kazakhstan and 4 students from Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia attending the welcoming ceremony. UPNVJ also invites 48 students from the Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka (PMM) Batch 4 of UPNVJ. The event is commenced with a grand showdown as the board of university greeted the attendees at the main entrance of the Rectorat Building and embed a welcoming shawl as the part of the ceremony. Amidst the fluttering Palang Pintu and the jovial presence of Ondel-Ondel, Jakarta’s iconic cultural figures, the exchanges students were enveloped in the vibrant tapestry of Indonesian hospitality. The ambiance resonated with the excitement of cultural exchange, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.
The event also invites the guests to the Auditorium Bhineka Tunggal Ika, where the official welcoming ceremony unfolded. The audience are amazed as traditional dances from Indonesia mesmerized the scenery, showcasing the rich heritage of the nation. Against this backdrop of cultural splendour, the Rector of UPNVJ and the Head of the Institution of Quality Assurances delivered heartfelt opening remarks, expressing the university’s commitment to nurture the local and global academic community.
“…not only inbound students, but we also sent 2 PMM students. Students of PMM 4 came from 29 universities throughout Indonesia, International Student Exchange came from 2 universities, namely the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages and 4 people from Universiti Malaysia Pahang…” said by Rector of UPNVJ during his speech.
