  • UPNVJ Student Exchanges Welcoming

    Welcoming the foreign and domestic student exchanges, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) hosted a vibrant and culturally enriching event on Tuesday, 19th February 2024 in Pondok Labu Campus. This event is led by Dr. Drs. Anter Venus, MA., Comm., Rector of UPNVJ, accompanied by Vice Rectors, the Institution of Learning Development and Quality Assurance of UPNVJ, and the International Office of UPNVJ. This event aimed to foster a warm and inclusive environment for the students that enrolls in an exchange to UPNVJ.

    There are 9 students from Kazakh Ablai Khan University, Kazakhstan and 4 students from Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia attending the welcoming ceremony. UPNVJ also invites 48 students from the Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka (PMM) Batch 4 of UPNVJ. The event is commenced with a grand showdown as the board of university greeted the attendees at the main entrance of the Rectorat Building and embed a welcoming shawl as the part of the ceremony. Amidst the fluttering Palang Pintu and the jovial presence of Ondel-Ondel, Jakarta’s iconic cultural figures, the exchanges students were enveloped in the vibrant tapestry of Indonesian hospitality. The ambiance resonated with the excitement of cultural exchange, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.

    The event also invites the guests to the Auditorium Bhineka Tunggal Ika, where the official welcoming ceremony unfolded. The audience are amazed as traditional dances from Indonesia mesmerized the scenery, showcasing the rich heritage of the nation. Against this backdrop of cultural splendour, the Rector of UPNVJ and the Head of the Institution of Quality Assurances delivered heartfelt opening remarks, expressing the university’s commitment to nurture the local and global academic community.

    “…not only inbound students, but we also sent 2 PMM students. Students of PMM 4 came from 29 universities throughout Indonesia, International Student Exchange came from 2 universities, namely the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages and 4 people from Universiti Malaysia Pahang…”  said by Rector of UPNVJ during his speech.

    During the event, each representative of the foreign exchange students stepped onto the stage to share their speech and aspirations. From Kazakh Ablai Khan University in Kazakhstan and Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia. These students brought with them diverse perspectives and what they are hoping to learn during their program. Their speeches resonated with gratitude for the opportunity to learn Indonesian culture and education, highlighting the transformative power of international exchange program.

    PT ADHI KARYA (Persero) Tbk. has launched an international competition for Indonesian students to pursue advanced education at the Master’s and Ph.D. levels. Through the R-Adhikarya Niche Award (RANA) program, PT ADHI KARYA (Persero) Tbk. invites young visionaries to participate in developing their potential and vision for the future of Indonesia.

    Through the competition held, the RANA Program will award scholarships to the winners to pursue advanced education abroad. The RANA Program offers opportunities for students to pursue further education at three prestigious institutions in the United States: The East-West Center in Honolulu, Stanford University in California, and Cornell University in Ithaca. The RANA Program also provides additional accommodations such as living expenses, tuition fees, and housing costs during the students’ studies.
